Note

Your Prowler SaaS bills can be seen at AWS Billing.

Subscription

If you subscribe to Prowler SaaS through the AWS Marketplace it is not necessary to subscribe from different AWS accounts to use Prowler SaaS for those accounts.

In Prowler SaaS you only need to subscribe from one of your AWS accounts through the AWS Marketplace and add multiple accounts once you are in the Prowler SaaS console using the "AWS Accounts" tab. We will send usage metrics to the AWS Marketplace regardless of the number of accounts you add in our platform, so The AWS Marketplace will bill you based on those usage metrics.

Payment Failed

If you receive a notification from the AWS Marketplace informing that your payment failed due to an issue with your payment method, probably this is due to the fact that you have a SEPA bank account as default payment method which is not supported for the AWS Marketplace. Despite having valid payment method on the account, in order to subscribe to a product your default payment method must be supported for AWS Marketplace subscription.

The origin of the issue comes from the fact that AWS Marketplace invoices are issued by AWS Inc. Because the AWS Marketplace invoices are being generated by a US entity, the SEPA account does not recognize it as a valid invoice hence subscription is failing.

As stated by the AWS Marketplace Support team, to fix the issue as a customer and to successfully subscribe to an AWS Marketplace product, you will need to do the following:

  1. Switch your default payment method to credit card.
  2. Complete the subscription process.
  3. Then you can change your default payment method back to your bank account.
Note

Please know this error will occur again at the time of renewal and our service teams recommend retaining your payment method as credit card. You can change your payment method at https://console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home#/paymentmethods.

The AWS Marketplace team stated We apologize for these additional steps, and please know we are fully aware of this situation, and our internal teams are working on simplifying this process.
